The authors of this paper characterize the Schatten class membership of the canonical solution operator to \(\overline{\partial}\) acting on \(L^2(e^{-2\phi})\), where \(\phi\) is a subharmonic function with \(\Delta\phi\) a doubling measure. The obtained characterization is in terms of \(\Delta\phi\). The authors, then turn their attention to study Hankel operators with anti-analytic symbols acting on the corresponding Fock space of entire functions in \(L^2(e^{-2\phi})\). Let \(\phi\) be a subharmonic function on \(\mathbb{C}\) such that \(\Delta\phi\) is a doubling measure. Then the generalized Fock space \(\mathcal{F}_{\phi}^2\) is the collection of entire functions such that \[ \left\| f\right\|_{\mathcal{F}_{\phi}^2}^2=\int_{\mathbb{C}}\left| f(z)\right|^2 e^{-2\phi(z)}\,dA(z)<\infty. \] Let \(\mu=\Delta\phi\) and let \(\rho(z)\) denote the radius for which \(\mu(D(z,\rho(z)))=1\). The function \(\rho(z)\) should be thought of as a regularized version of \(\Delta\phi\). The authors are interested in the minimal norm solution in \(L^2(e^{-2\phi})\), call it \(Nf\), to the problem \(\overline{\partial} Nf=f\). The boundedness and compactness of the operator \(N\) have been studied previously by \textit{S.-G.\thinspace Fu} and \textit{E.\,J.\thinspace Straube} [Ohio State Univ.\ Math.\ Res.\ Inst.\ Publ.\ 9, 141--160 (2001; Zbl 1011.32025)], \textit{F.\,Haslinger} [Ann.\ Fac.\ Sci.\ Toulouse, VI.\ Sér., Math.\ 11, No.\,1, 57--70 (2002; Zbl 1056.30026)], and \textit{F.\,Haslinger} and \textit{B.\,Lamel} [J.~Funct.\ Anal.\ 255, No.\,1, 13--24 (2008; Zbl 1169.32009)]. The authors show that the operator \(N\) belongs to the Schatten class \(\mathcal{S}^p\) with \(p>2\) if and only if \[ \int_{\mathbb{C}}\rho(z)^{p-2}\,dA(z)<\infty. \] In particular, the operator \(N\) is never Hilbert-Schmidt. This extends the previously known results obtained by \textit{J.\,Marzo} and \textit{J.\,Ortega-Cerdà} [J.~Geom.\ Anal.\ 19, No.\,4, 890--910 (2009; Zbl 1183.30058)] concerning the compactness of \(N\) where it was shown that \(N\) is compact if and only if \(\rho(z)\to 0\) as \(\left| z\right|\to\infty\). In the course of the proof, the authors also find that the big Hankel operator \(H_{\overline{g}}\) belongs to the Schatten class \(\mathcal{S}^p\) with \(p>2\) if and only if \[ \int_{\mathbb{C}}\left| g'(z)\right|^p\rho(z)^{p-2}\,dA(z)<\infty. \] In particular, \(H_{\overline{g}}\) is never Hilbert-Schmidt unless \(g\) is constant.
