Several authors have recently studied various classes of Lie algebras including the Witt and Virasoro algebras, one of these being the so-called ``generalized Virasoro-like Lie algebras''. These are defined as follows. Let \(\Gamma\) be an additive subgroup of \(\mathbb{C}^{2}\) that contains a basis \(\{e_{1}, e_{2} \}\) of \(\mathbb{C}^{2}\). The generalized Virasoro-like algebra \(\mathcal{L}(\Gamma)\) is the Lie algebra with basis \(\{L_{\alpha},\partial_{1}, \partial_{2}| \alpha \in \Gamma \mathbf \{0\}\}\) and bracket \([ L_{\alpha}, L_{\beta} ] = (\alpha_{1}\beta_{2}-\alpha_{2}\beta_{1})L_{\alpha+\beta}\), \([\partial_{i},L_{\alpha} ] = \alpha_{i}L_{\alpha}\), where \(\alpha=\alpha_{1}e_{1}+\alpha_{2}e_{2}\), etc. (Conventionally, \(L_{0}=0\).) If \(\Gamma=\mathbb{Z} \times \mathbb{Z}\), the derived algebra of \(\mathcal{L}(\Gamma)\) is the Virasoro-like algebra. Previously, in [Acta Math. Sin., Engl. Ser. 22, No. 6, 1915--1922 (2006; Zbl 1116.17013)], the authors of this paper proved various facts about Lie bialgebra structures on \(\mathcal{L}(\Gamma)\), including that every Lie bialgebra structure on \(\mathcal{L}(\Gamma)\) is triangular coboundary. In the present paper, working over a field \(F\) of characteristic zero, the authors give a quantization of \(\mathcal{L}(\Gamma)\). That is, a non-cocommutative Hopf algebra structure for the \(F[[t]]\)-algebra \(\mathcal{U}(\mathcal{L}(\Gamma))[[t]]\) is described explicitly. The coproduct is obtained via Drinfel'd twisting of the standard one.
