Let \(A\) be a primitively generated braided bialgebra. Then the braiding \(c\colon A\otimes A\to A\otimes A\) induces a braiding \(c_P\colon P\otimes P\to P\otimes P\), where \(P\) is the space of primitive elements of \(A\), and this induces a braided bialgebra structure on the tensor algebra \(T(P)\). The author shows that if the Nichols algebra of \((P,c_P)\) is the factor of \(T(P)\) by the ideal generated by the homogeneous primitive elements of degree at least two, then \(A\) can be recovered as some kind of universal enveloping algebra of \(P\). In particular, this result holds when \(A\) is a braided bialgebra such that \(\text{gr}(A)\), the graded coalgebra associated to the coradical filtration of \(A\), is a quadratic algebra with respect to its braided bialgebra structure.
