Authors characterize a shift invarient system \(\{L_{a\nu}g_s: \nu\in \Gamma, s \in \mathbb Z\}\) for \(a>0\) on the Heisenburg group \(\mathbb H^n,\) where \(L_x\) denotes the left translation operator, \(\Gamma \) is a lattice on \(\mathbb H^n,\) and \(\{g_s: s \in \mathbb Z\}\) is a collection of functions in \( L^2(\mathbb H^n).\) They characterize a Bessel sequence, a frame sequence and a Riesz sequence in terms of a class of operators arising from the fiber map corresponding to the system. This characterization is in terms of the dual Gramian. In a special case when \(s=1\) and \(a=1,\) they prove that the shift invarient system being a frame sequence implies that the spectral function is bounded. They also provide a characterization for a pair of Bessel sequences to be a pair of dual frames in terms of those operators.
