The authors consider first the Fokker-Planck equation \[ P= iv\cdot D_x+ D^2_v+ v^2,\quad x,v\in\mathbb{R}^n, \] for which they recover the known optimal a-priori estimate with loss of \(4/3\) derivatives, by using pseudo-differential techniques. Their method of proof, inspired to \textit{F. Hérau}, \textit{J. Sjöstrand} and \textit{C. C. Stolk} [Commun. Partial Differ. Equations 30, No. 5--6, 689--760 (2005; Zbl 1083.35149)] is then extended to linear Landau-type operator. As a new result, for these operators the authors obtain a global hypoelliptic estimate with loss of \(4/3\) anisotropic derivatives.
