Recall from the Stone duality theorem that for each topological space \(X\) there is an extremally disconnected compact Hausdorff space \(Y\) such that the respective Boolean algebras of regular closed subsets of \(X\) and \(Y\) are isomorphic. This paper proves that the category of locally compact Hausdorff spaces and continuous maps is dual to the category of complete local contact algebras and appropriate morphisms between them.
