The main goal of this paper is to obtain Bäcklund transformations for the nonholonomic Veselova system. In the introduction, some properties of the Veselova system are recalled. Also, a brief presentation of the Bäcklund transformations is given. Using the divisor arithmetic on the hyperelliptic curve of genus two, the symmetries of the integrals of motion associated with the nonholonomic Veselova system are studied. Furthermore, in order to get a canonical transformation of valence two, symmetries related to a general divisor doubling are discussed. Consequently, new integrable Hamiltonian and conformally Hamiltonian systems in the framework of the Jacobi method are introduced.
