On the investigation of the Matsumoto zeta-function (Q2214493): Difference between revisions

This expository paper is an overview of some of the results of Kohji Matsumoto, written on the occasion of his 60th birthday. The results covered include limit theorems for the Matsumoto zeta functions, denoted \(\varphi(s)\), and estimates for the number of zeros of polynomials in \(\varphi(s)\). Related results of other authors, concerning universality of generalised Matsumoto zeta functions, are also summarised. The paper ends with a biography, illustrated with pictures.
