Pointed Hopf algebras with Abelian group \(G\) of group-like elements (with prime divisors of the order of \(G\) bigger than \(7\)) were classified by \textit{N. Andruskiewitsch} and \textit{H.-J. Schneider} [in ``On the classification of finite-dimensional pointed Hopf algebras'', preprint arXiv:math/0502157v3 (2005)]. The paper under review concerns the representation theory of certain Hopf algebras among this class. Let \(H\) be a simply linked lifting of nilpotent type of a quantum linear space. In this paper the authors prove a parametrization theorem for simple \(H\)-modules and \(D(H)\)-modules, where \(D(H)\) is the Drinfel'd double of \(H\). They construct Verma type modules \(Z(\gamma)\) of \(H\), where \(\gamma\) runs over the dual group \(\widehat G\) of the group \(G\) of group-like elements of \(H\). It is shown that the radical \(R(\gamma)\) of \(Z(\gamma)\) is its unique maximal submodule. One of the main results of the paper is a description of the \(m\)-th term of the radical filtration of \(Z(\gamma)\) and the Loewy layers of the filtration. It is also shown that the socle filtration of \(Z(\gamma)\) coincides with the radical filtration. Some facts are established in more generality for Hopf algebras admitting a triangular decomposition that satisfies certain conditions. A similar study is then carried out for the Drinfel'd double of \(H\), which is not pointed in general. Related work appears in the paper [J. Algebra 319, No. 9, 3689-3731 (2008; Zbl 1236.17026)] by the second author and \textit{H.-J. Schneider}.
