This paper studies int-amplified endomorphisms, which is a surjective endomorphism \(f :X \to X\) on a normal projective variety \(X\) such that \( f^*L-L = H\) for some ample Cartier divisors \(L\) and \(H\). This is a natural generalization of polarized endomorphism. This paper gives a criterion for being an int-amplified endomorphism, and shows that int-amplified endomorphisms have many good properties the same as those of polarized endomorphisms shown in [\textit{S. Meng} and \textit{D.-Q. Zhang}, Adv. Math. 325, 243--273 (2018; Zbl 1387.14057)].
