Affine dual Minkowski problems

From MaRDI portal

As proposed by Lutwak, the affine quermassintegral is defined by \N\[\N\Phi_{n-m}(K):=\frac{\omega_n}{\omega_m}\left(\int_{G(n,m)}\mathrm{vol}_m(K|\xi)^{-n}d\nu_m(\xi)\right)^{-1/n}\N\]\Nfor the projection \(K|\xi\) of \(K\) onto \(m\)-dimensional subspace \(\xi\) of \({\mathbb{R}}^n\), and dual affine quermassintegral is defined by \N\[\N\widetilde{\Phi}_{n-m}(K):=\frac{\omega_n}{\omega_m}\left(\int_{G(n,m)}\mathrm{vol}_m(K\cap\xi)^{n}d\nu_m(\xi)\right)^{1/n}\N\]\Nfor the intersection \(K\cap\xi\) of \(K\) with \(\xi\).\N\NIn this paper, the authors establish the first variational formula \N\[\N\frac{d}{dt}\bigg|_{t=0}\left[\widetilde{\Phi}_{n-m}([K,f]_t)^n\right]=n\left(\frac{\omega_n}{\omega_m}\right)^n\int_{{\mathbb{S}}^{n-1}}f(v)d\widetilde{C}^a_m(K,v)\N\]\Nfor dual affine quermassintegral. At the same time, the solvability of the corresponding Minkowski problem is also discussed.
