From hyperbolic to complex Euler integrals

From MaRDI portal

The paper studies limiting relations between hyperbolic and complex rational Euler-type integrals. The authors rigorously prove that the hyperbolic beta integral and the Euler-type representation of the hyperbolic conical function degenerate, under suitable parameter assumptions, to two-dimensional integrals over the complex plane. The proofs are based on detailed uniform estimates for ratios of hyperbolic gamma functions, control of the tails, and a careful justification of the interchange of limits and integration. The results provide a direct analytic derivation of the corresponding complex rational beta and conical integrals. The paper is well structured and contains technically substantial results of interest in the theory of special functions and hypergeometric integrals.
