Hurwitz numbers for reflection groups. III: Uniform formulae
Motivated by Hurwitz' work on Riemann surfaces, the authors study the notion of \textit{full reflection factorizations} of elements \(g\) in complex reflection groups \(W\). By definition, a full reflection factorization expressed \(g\) as a product of reflections \(g=t_1\cdots t_k\) such that \(t_1,\dotsc,t_k\) generate \(W\). The authors give concise formulas relating the minimal length of such a factorization to the number of such factorization of minimal length when \(g\) is a quasi-Coxeter element inside a parabolic subgroup of \(W\). The proof method is mostly combinatorial, relying on Grammian determinants. They conclude the series of three papers with an insightful section of further remarks and conjectures.\N\NFor Part II see [the authors, J. Algebra 641, 648--715 (2024; Zbl 1530.20121)].
