Introduction to formal hardware verification
The book of Thomas Kropf is a wonderful introduction to formal hardware verification suitable for both students and experts. It covers the present state-of-the art in formal verification, in particular combinational and sequential equivalence checking using binary decision diagrams and formal verification using propositional temporal logics and symbolic model checking. The book includes all the mathematical basics required to understand the concepts, statements, and proofs. It comprises the formal basics of temporal structures, mathematical basics as e.g. lattice theory, and efficient fixpoint computation. It may be said that this book is the first textbook on formal hardware verification which can be used in classes.
