Let $\Gamma$ be a locally finite connected graph with at most countably many vertices. Assume that the number of vertices inside the $n$-th ball around each fixed vertex is bounded above by a monomial $n\mapsto D n^d$ for some constants $D$, $d>0$. To each such graph, the authors associate a class of complete norms $\|\cdot\|_{B_{r,\alpha}}$, with $r\in[1,\infty]$ and $\alpha\in[0,\infty)$, on subspaces of (possibly infinite) matrices whose entries are indexed by the vertices of $\Gamma$. The norms are constructed so that the matrix entries at positions corresponding to vertices with large mutual distance converge to zero sufficiently fast. \par The authors assert that every matrix $A$ with a finite $\|\cdot\|_{B_{r,\alpha}}$ norm induces a bounded linear operator on a Banach sequence space $\ell^p$ ($p\ge 1$). The main results then compare the quantities related to $p$-norms of such matrices for various parameters $p$. It is shown, for example, that, under suitable hypotheses, the induced operator is bounded below on $\ell^p$ for some $p\ge 1$ if and only if it is bounded below on every $\ell^q$ ($q\ge 1$). Moreover, in this case, an upper and lower estimate for the ratio between $A_p := \inf_{x \in \ell^p} \frac{\|Ax\|_p}{\|x\|p}$ and $A_q := \inf_{x \in \ell^q} \frac{\|Ax\|_q}{\|x\|q}$ is given, and this depends only on $| \frac{1}{p} - \frac{1}{q}|$ and $\|A\|_{B_{r,\alpha}}$. \par The authors further compare $\|A^{-1}\|_{B_{r,\alpha}}$ with the $\ell^2$-norm of $A^{-1}$ and estimate the growth rate of $A^n$ in $\|\cdot\|_{B_{r,\alpha}}$ norm.
