Let \(\mathcal C\) be a Hom-finite, Krull-Schmidt and \(k\)-linear triangulated category. Given a (co)torsion pair and a functorially finite subcategory \(\mathcal D\) of \(\mathcal C\), the authors define \(\mathcal D\)-mutation (co)torsion pair using mutation of subcategories. This notion generalizes mutation of tilting object in cluster categories studied by Buan, Marsh, Reineke, Reiten and Todorov in [\textit{A. B. Buan} et al., Adv. Math. 204, No. 2, 572--618 (2006; Zbl 1127.16011)] and mutation of (maximal) rigid object as introduced (by Buan, March and Varne in [\textit{A. B. Buan} et al., Math. Z. 265, No. 4, 951--970 (2010; Zbl 1229.18012)]) by \textit{R. J. Marsh} and \textit{Y. Palu} in [Proc. Lond. Math. Soc. (3) 108, No. 2, 411--440 (2014; Zbl 1338.18041)]. The torsion pairs in cluster categories of type \(A_n\) were classified using Ptolemy diagrams of polygons by Holm, Jørgensen and Rubey in [\textit{T. Holm} et al., J. Algebr. Comb. 34, No. 3, 507--523 (2011; Zbl 1229.05220)] and of type \(A_\infty\) by \textit{P. Ng} in [``A characterization of torsion theories in the cluster category of Dynkin type \(A_{\infty}\)'', \url{arXiv:1005.4364}]. In the last section, the authors show that the mutation of torsion pairs are given by rotation of such diagrams.
