This paper concerns the study of some variants of the classical \textit{shadowing} property in topological dynamics. The authors introduce the following notion: a dynamical system \((X,T)\) satisfies the \textit{multishadowing property} if for any \(\epsilon >0\) there exists \(d=d(\epsilon) >0\) such that for any \(d\)-pseudotrajectory \(\{x_k\}\) there exist points \(y^1,\dots, y^N\;(N=N(\{x_k\},\epsilon )\) may depend on \(\{x_k\}\) and \(\epsilon\)) with \(\min\limits_{i=1,\dots N} \rho (x_k,T^k(y))<\epsilon\)\ for all \(k\in \mathbb N\). They obtain the following main result Theorem 3.1: Let \(T : X\mapsto X\) be a continuous map of a compact metric space. For any \(\epsilon >0\) there exists \(d>0\) such that for any one-sided \(d\)-trajectory \(\{x_k, k\geq 0\}\) there exists a subsequence \(K:=\{k_n, n\in \mathbb N\}\subset \mathbb N\) and a minimal point \(y\) of the dynamical system \((X,T)\) such that \(a:=\limsup\limits_{N\rightarrow\infty}\frac{\# K\cap [0,N]}{N}>0.\)\ In this case, it is said that \(K\) has positive density in \(\mathbb Z^+\). As a consequence, the authors deduce several interesting results. For instance, they prove that for the nonwandering case, multishadowing is equivalent to the density of minimal points. Furthermore, it is equivalent to the existence of a family of \(\epsilon\)-networks whose iterations are also \(\epsilon\)-networks. Relations between multishadowing and some ergodic and topological properties of dynamical systems are also discussed.
