Recall that a complex manifold $X$ has the \textit{density property} if the Lie algebra generated by the $\mathbb{C}$-complete holomorphic vector fields is dense in the Lie algebra of all the holomorphic vector fields on $X$. The study of this property is the so-called Andersén-Lempert theory. \par Secondly, a normal complex affine algebraic surface that admits a completation by a normal crossing divisor such that its dual graph is a linear rational graph is called a \textit{Guizatullin surface}, see [\textit{M. H. Gizatullin}, Izv. Akad. Nauk SSSR, Ser. Mat. 35, 1047--1071 (1971; Zbl 0221.14023); \textit{M. H. Gizatullin}, et al., Math. USSR, Izv. 9(1975), 493--534 (1976; Zbl 0331.14007)]. \par Very roughly speaking the main theorem asserts the following. \par All Gizatullin surfaces that admit such a $\mathbb{C}^+$-action, for which the quotient is a $\mathbb{C}^1$-fibration with a reduced degenerate fibre, have the density property. \par This result includes all previously known results for the density property of affine surfaces as special cases. The author also gives a description of the identity component of the group of holomorphic automorphisms of these surfaces.
