The paper deals with the problem of classification of finite-dimensional Hopf algebras over a filed of a positive characteristic. A Hopf algebra is called connected when it admits only one isomorphism class of simple comodules, this type of Hopf algebras appears only in positive characteristic. The authors try to understand the structure of the cohomology rings for these algebras. This only depends on the algebra structure, not on the Hopf structure. More precisely, the authors deal with ``connected Hopf algebras of dimension \(p^3\), which appear in the classification obtained in [\textit{V. C. Nguyen} et al., J. Algebra 424, 473--505 (2015; Zbl 1312.16032)]. The list consists of 23 algebras together with two infinite families. We identify the Morita type of the algebra, and in almost all cases this is sufficient to clarify the structure of the cohomology ring.''
