Displacement structures and fast inversion formulas for \(q\)-adic Vandermonde-like matrices (Q1765354)

The class of ordinary Vandermonde-like matrices over the complex field is generalized by introducing a new class of \(q\)-adic Vandermonde-like matrices over an arbitrary non-algebraically closed field. Three kinds of displacement structures and fast inversion formulas for this class of matrices are presented by using a method from displacement structure theory. This paper generalizes some well-known results for confluent Vandermonde-like matrices in the closed field case.
