The paper under review deals with some quantifications of the Dunford-Pettis property. It is based on the fact that there is a natural measure of non-complete continuity and several non-equivalent natural measures of weak non-compactness of an operator. It is shown that for one of these last measures the Dunford-Pettis property is automatically quantitative. Moreover, it is proved that several natural measures of weak non-compactness are equal in \(L^{1}\) spaces. The non-equivalence of several measures of weak non-compactness leads to two ways of strengthening of the Dunford-Pettis properties. Thus, the authors call the resulting main notions of the paper the direct and dual quantitative Dunford-Pettis properties. They characterize them and prove that \(L^{1}\) spaces and \(C(K)\) spaces possess both of them. In the last section of the paper, some open problems are collected.
