The restriction operator on Bergman spaces (Q1985346)

The authors study the restriction operator from the Bergman space of a domain \(\Omega\) in \(\mathbb{C}^n\) to the Bergman space of a non-empty open subset \(U \subset \Omega\). The Toeplitz operator, whose symbol is the characteristic function of \(U\), plays a crucial rool in this study. The main results of the paper concern sharp estimates of the norm of the restriction operator in case \(\Omega\) and \(U\) are ball, its compactness and essential norm estimates. Several interesting examples are also given.
