The authors study variants of the Dunford-Pettis property on Banach lattices. A Banach lattice \(E\) is said to have the weak Dunford-Pettis property (w-DPP) if for every disjoint weakly null sequence \((x_k)_k\) in \(E\) and every weakly null sequence \((f_k)_k \) in \(E'\), \(f_k(x_k)\to 0\). They say a Banach lattice has the weak Dunford-Pettis\({}^*\) property (w-DP\({}^*\)P) if for every weakly null sequence \((x_k)_k\) in \(E\) and every disjount weak\({}^*\) null sequence \((f_k)_k \) in \(E'\), \(f_k(x_k)\to 0\). Given a natural number \(n\), the authors say that a Banach lattice has the \(n\)-weak Dunford-Pettis property (\(n\)-wDPP) (resp. \(n\)-weak Dunford-Pettis\({}^*\) property (\(n\)-wDP\({}^*\)P)) if for every disjoint sequence \((x_k)_k\) in \(E\) such that \(x_k\otimes\cdots\otimes x_k \to 0\) in \(\widehat{\bigotimes}_{n,s,|\pi|}E\), the \(n\)-fold symmetric Fremlin tensor product of \(E\), and every weakly convergent (resp. every weak\({}^*\) convergent) sequence \((P_k)_k\) of regular \(n\)-homogeneous polynomials on \(E\), \(P_k(x_k)\to 0\). Finally, a Banach lattice \(E\) is said to have the \(n\)-weak sequential continuity property (\(n\)-wSCP) if the mapping \(\theta: E\to\widehat{\bigotimes}_{n,s,|\pi|}E\), \(x\mapsto x\otimes\cdots\otimes x\), takes disjoint weakly null sequences to weakly null sequences or, equivalently, every real valued regular \(n\)-homogeneous polynomial on \(E\) takes disjoint weakly null sequences to null sequences. The authors prove that for a Banach lattice \(E\) the following are equivalent: (i) \(E\) has the wDPP; (ii) \(E\) has the \(n\)-wDPP and the \(n\)-wSCP; (iii) for every Banach lattice \(F\) with an order continuous norm, every positive weakly compact \(n\)-homogeneous polynomial from \(E\) to \(F\) takes disjoint weakly null sequences to norm null sequences; (iv) for every disjoint weakly null sequence \((x_k)_k\) in \(E\) and every weakly convergent sequence \((P_k)_k \) of regular \(n\)-homogeneous polnomials, \(P_k(x_k)\to 0\). Moreover, it suffices to check Condition (iv) for every disjoint weakly null or for every positive weakly null sequence \((P_k)_k\). When \(E\) is \(\sigma\)-Dedekind complete they show that the following are equivalent: (i) \(E\) has the wDP\({}^*\)P; (ii) \(E\) has the \(n\)-wDP\({}^*\)P and the \(n\)-wSCP; (iii) for every Banach lattice \(F\) with a weak\({}^*\) sequentially compact dual unit ball, every positive \(n\)-homogeneous polynomial from \(E\) to \(F\) takes disjoint weakly null sequences to norm null sequences; (iv) for every disjoint weakly null sequence \((x_k)_k\) in \(E\) and every weak\({}^*\) convergent sequence \((P_k)_k \) of regular \(n\)-homogeneous polynomials on \(E\), \(P_k(x_k)\to 0\). Moreover, it suffices to check Condition (iv) for every disjoint weak\({}^*\) null or for every positive weak\({}^*\) null sequence \((P_k)_k\).
