The paper is devoted to some connections between different properties of uniformly distributed sequences, mainly between discrepancy and pair correlations. Firstly, it is proved that if the discrepancy of some sequence on torus \(\mathbb{T}^d\) (with \(L_{\infty}\)-metric) is \(o(N^{-(1-\varepsilon)})\) for \(0<\varepsilon<\frac{1}{d}\) then this sequence has \(\alpha\)-pair correlations for any \(\alpha\in (0,\frac{1-\varepsilon}{d})\). As a corollary, we have that any low-discrepancy sequence has \(\alpha\)-pair correlations for \(\alpha\in (0;\frac{1}{d})\). Similar result also proved for an arbitrary Kronecker sequence (it is not known whether they are low-discrepancy sequences). Further, it is shown that from some quantitative estimate of speed of convergence in the definition of a sequence with \(\alpha\)-pair correlations, then we have some estimate on the star discrepancy of this sequence. As a corollary, it is shown that any sequence with \(\alpha\)-pair correlations is uniformly distributed. Last but not least, the author studies some connections with the distribution of gaps in the sequence. It is shown that if a sequence only has a finite number of gap lengths and if these different gap lengths distribute over the unit interval in a nice way, then the star-discrepancy cannot be too large.
