The authors provide some advances in the study of the Bishop-Phelps-Bollobás property (BPBp, for short) for operators. They focus their attention on \(c_0\)-sums and generalize some results in the literature. Indeed, they prove that the pair \((c_0(X), Y)\) has the BPBp for operators whenever \(X\) is uniformly convex and \(Y\) is a \(\mathbb{C}\)-uniformly convex Banach space, which gives in particular a positive result for the pair \((c_0(X), c_0(X))\). The authors also pay some attention to one of the local BPB properties, the so-called \(\mathbf{L}_{p, p}\). It is worth highlighting Theorem 3.3, where they prove that \((c_0(X), c_0(X))\) has the \(\mathbf{L}_{p, p}\) for bilinear forms whenever \(X\) has a micro-transitive norm (this result was unknown even for 1-dimensional \(X\)). Finally, a result analogous to the linear case is shown for bilinear forms: the authors prove that \((c_0(X), c_0(X))\) has the BPBp for bilinear forms whenever \(X\) is both uniformly convex and uniformly smooth.
