    We recall from [\textit{M. D. Acosta} et al., J. Funct. Anal. 254, No. 11, 2780--2799 (2008; Zbl 1152.46006)] that a pair of Banach spaces \((X,Y)\) is said to have the Bishop-Phelps-Bollobás property (BBBp) if for \(\epsilon >0\), there exists \(\eta(\epsilon) >0\) such that for \( T \in {\mathcal L}(X,Y)\) with \(\|T \| =1\), \(\|x_0\| = 1\) with \(\|T(x_0)\| > 1 - \eta(\epsilon)\), there exists a norm attaining operator \(S\), attaining the norm at a \(u_0\) such that \(\|T - S\| < \epsilon\), \(\|x-u_0 \| < \epsilon\). When \(X = c_0\), the first named author showed that \((c_0,Y)\) has this property for any uniformly convex space \(Y\) [\textit{S. K. Kim}, Isr. J. Math. 197, 425--435 (2013; Zbl 1296.46008)]. In this paper, the result is established for \(X = C(K)\).
