Let \(K=\mathbb{Q}[\omega]\) or \(\mathbb{Q}[i]\), where \(\omega=\frac{-1+i\sqrt{3}}{2}\) is a primitive cubic root of unity. Suppose that GRH is true for Hecke \(L\)-functions of \(K\). Let \(\phi\) be a smooth Schwartz class function with support in \([1, 2]\). In the paper under review, the authors prove the following first moments of central values of Hecke \(L\)-functions for any \(\varepsilon>0\) and \(y\to \infty\): \[\sum_{\mathfrak{p}}^{\qquad*}L\left(\frac{1}{2},\chi_\mathfrak{p}\right)\Lambda(\mathfrak{p})\phi\left(\frac{N(\mathfrak{p})}{y}\right)= A_K\hat{\phi}(0)y\log y+B_K\hat{\phi}(0)y + O(y^{7/8+\varepsilon}),\] where the sum runs over prime elements \(\mathfrak{p}\) of \(\mathbb{Z}[\omega]\) congruent to \(1\) (mod \(36\)) if \( K = \mathbb{Q}(\omega)\), or prime elements of \(\mathbb{Z}[i]\) congruent to \(1\) (mod \(16\)) if \(K = \mathbb{Q}(i)\), \(\chi_\mathfrak{p}\) is the corresponding quadratic symbol, \(B_K\) is a constant depending on \(K\) and \(\phi\), and \[A_{\mathbb{Q}(\omega)}=\frac{(1+\sqrt{3})\pi}{1296}, \:A_{\mathbb{Q}(i)}=\frac{(2+\sqrt{2})\pi}{512}, \: \hat{\phi}(0)=\int_1^2 \phi(x) dx.\] A similar formula is also derived for cubic and quartic Hecke symbol with an error term \(O\left(y^{39/40+\varepsilon}\right)\).
