Denote by \(U(X)\) the lattice of all real-valued uniformly continuous functions on a metric space \(X\). When \(X\) is the half-line \({\mathbb H}=[1, \infty]\), with the distance given by the absolute value, we just write \(U\). Moreover, by a homomorphism of vector lattices we mean a linear map preserving joins and meets. Given a vector lattice \(\mathfrak L\), denote by \(H(\mathfrak L)\) the set of all homomorphisms \(\phi: {\mathfrak L} \to \mathbb R\). In the paper under review, a description of the topological space \(H(U)\) in the spirit of Section~4 of [\textit{R. G. Woods}, Fundam. Math. 147, No. 1, 39--59 (1995; Zbl 0837.54015)] is provided. As a by-product, the spaces of homomorphisms of other important lattices such that \(U(\mathbb R)\) and \(\hbox{Lip}(\mathbb H)\) or \(\hbox{Lip}(\mathbb N)\) are computed.
