The notions of categorical integrals and categorical cointegrals in a finite tensor category were introduced by the second-named author in [Int. Math. Res. Not. 2017, No. 1, 277--322 (2017; Zbl 1405.18013); Algebr. Represent. Theory 22, No. 2, 459--493 (2019; Zbl 1411.18012)]. In the paper under review, the authors pursue the study of these notions focusing on the category \(_H\mathcal M\) of left modules over a finite dimensional quasi-Hopf algebra \(H\). The main results of the paper are, on the one side, a description of the space of categorical cointegrals of \(_H\mathcal M\) and (when \(H\) is unimodular) an explicit description of the Frobenius structure of the algebra \(A = R(k)\), in terms of (co)integrals of \(H\); here \(R: _H\mathcal M \to ^H_H\mathcal{YD}\) is a suitable right adjoint of the forgetful functor. Another main result is a description, under the assumption that \(H\) has a pivotal element, of the twisted module trace for projective \(H\)-modules in terms of cointegrals on \(H\), generalizing previous results for Hopf algebras obtained by \textit{A. F. Fontalvo Orozco} and \textit{A. M. Gainutdinov} in [``Module traces and Hopf group-coalgebras'', Preprint, \url{arXiv:1809.01122}].
