This interesting and well-written paper deals with a geometric characterization of quantitative absolute continuity of harmonic measure and of the \(L^p\) solvability of the Dirichlet problem. As is well known, a criterion of Wiener characterizes the domains in which one can solve the Dirichlet problem for Laplace's equation with continuous boundary data and with continuity of the solution up to the boundary. The present paper provides a geometric characterization of the open sets for which the \(L^p\) solvability holds for some \(p<\infty\). The authors obtain a geometric characterization of the weak-\(A_\infty\) property of harmonic measures under optimal background hypotheses, namely an interior corkscrew condition and Ahlfors-David regularity of the boundary. As a consequence, such a result provides a characterization of the solvability of the \(L^p\) Dirichlet problem for some finite \(p\).
