Two block triangular matrices \(A\) and \(B\) of the same size over a division ring \(D\) are said to be adjacent, \(A\sim B\), if \(\text{rank}(A- B)= 1\). A bijection \(\varphi\) of the set of triangular matrices is said to be an adjacency preserving map in both directions, if conditions \(A\sim B\) and \(\varphi(A)\sim\varphi(B)\) are equivalent. Such transformations form a group \(G\). The authors describe the algebraic structure of the group \(G\) (Theorem 1).
