John ellipsoid and its associated results, including John's inclusion and Ball's volume-ratio inequality, are extremely useful in convex geometry and PDE. The authors in this paper introduce the mixed \(L_p\) John ellipsoids, generalizing both the classical John ellipsoid and the \(L_p\) John ellipsoid introduced in [\textit{E. Lutwak} et al., Proc. Lond. Math. Soc. (3) 90, No. 2, 497--520 (2005; Zbl 1074.52005)]. Existence and uniqueness of mixed \(L_p\) John ellipsoid are established for every pair of convex bodies \(K\) and \(L\). The authors also establish analogs of John's inclusion and Ball's volume-ratio inequality with necessary and sufficient equality conditions.
