In this paper, extremal functions for Morrey's inequality in convex domains are considered. Precisely, the domain under consideration is a bounded subset of \(\mathbb{R}^n\) and Morrey's inequality implies that there exist a positive constant c such that \[ c\|u\|^p_\infty \leq \int_\Omega |Du|^p\,\mathrm{d}x \] with \(p>n\) and u belonging to the Sobolev space \(W_0^{1,p}(\Omega)\). Under the assumption that \(\Omega\) is convex, the authors show that the ratio of any two extremal functions is constant. Further, they show with concrete examples that this property fails to hold in general and, additionally, that the convexity is not a must. It is illustrated that an optimization problem involving the Green's function for the \(p\)-Laplacian has a unique solution.
