An orthodox semigroup is called orthogroup if it is completely regular. Let \(U\) be a subset of the set \(E(S)\) of all idempotents of a semigroup \(S\). Let \(a\widetilde{\mathcal L}_U b\) iff \((\forall e\in U)(ae=a\Leftrightarrow be=b)\). Dually, the relation \(\widetilde{\mathcal R}_U\) is defined. \(S\) is called weakly \(U\)-abundant if every \(\widetilde{\mathcal L}_U\)-class and every \(\widetilde{\mathcal R}_U\)-class contains an idempotent of \(U\). Such a semigroup is called weakly \(U\)-superabundant if every \(\widetilde{\mathcal H}_U\) (\(=\widetilde{\mathcal L}_U\cap\widetilde{\mathcal R}_U\))-class contains a distinguished idempotent of \(U\). Let \(B\) be a band of idempotents. Generalized orthogroups are classes of weakly \(B\)-superabundant semigroups with the Congruence Condition (that is \(\widetilde{\mathcal L}_B\) is a right congruence and \(\widetilde{\mathcal R}_B\) is a left congruence). The author declares that the main purpose of his paper ``is to find a representation of a (generalized) orthogroup with band of idempotents \(B\) in terms of a fundamental (generalized) orthogroup. The latter is a subsemigroup of the Hall semigroup \(W_B\) (or of its generalisations \(V_B\), \(U_B\) and \(S_B\))''.
