In this article the authors prove global existence of weak solutions of the incompressible Euler system in \(\mathbb R^3\) having helical symmetry (invariant through the product of suitable rotation in the plane \((x_1,x_2)\) plane and translation along the axis \(x_3\)), for no-swirl initial data having the same helical symmetry and with initial vorticity compactly supported in the axial plane belonging to some \(L^p\) with \(p>4/3\). This result extends a previous one by Ettinger and Titi in a helical pipe. The main tool of the proof is the derivation of an explicit Green function for \(\Delta\), periodic in the axial direction, allowing to write the corresponding Biot-Savart law and to use potential arguments.
