Let \(p\) be an odd prime, \(E\) an elliptic curve over \({\mathbb Q}\) which has good ordinary reduction at \(p.\) From the Iwasawa main conjecture it follows that the Mazur-Swinerton-Dyer \(p\)-adic \(L\)-function \({\mathcal L}_{p}(E)\) can be viewed as a generator of the characteristic ideal of the Pontryagin dual \(X(E/{\mathbb Q}^{{\text{cyc}}})\) of the Selmer group of \(E\) over the \({\mathbb Z}_{p}\)-cyclotomic extension \({\mathbb Q}^{{\text{cyc}}}.\) Moreover if \(X(E/{\mathbb Q}^{{\text{cyc}}})\) does not have any nonzero pseudo-null submodules then as a consequence of the Iwasawa main conjecture one obtains that the \(p\)-adic\(L\)-function annihilates \(X(E/{\mathbb Q}^{{\text{cyc}}}). \) In the paper the author considers field extensions \(F_{\infty}\) of a number field \(F\) with the Galois group \(\mathrm{Gal}(F_{\infty}/F)\), a nonabelian \(p\)-adic Lie group. Following the work of \textit{O. Venjakob} and \textit{D. Vogel} (cf. [J. Reine Angew. Math. 559, 153--191 (2003; Zbl 1051.11056)]) the author shows the nonexistence of global annihilator for a specific class of modules over the Iwasawa algebra of a nonabelian group, which is an extension of a polycyclic pro-p group \({\mathbb Z}_{p} \rtimes {\mathbb Z}_{p}.\) The author also obtains examples of completely faithful Selmer groups of elliptic curves and Hida deformations.
