In this paper, the author considers three kinds of Legendrian surfaces in a \(5\)-dimensional Sasakian manifold \((M,\alpha,g_{\alpha},J)\). Firstly, a contact stationary Legendrian Willmore surface (csL Willmore surface) is a stationary point of the Willmore functional under contact deformation. Secondly, a contact stationary Legendrian surface (csL surface) is a stationary point of the volume functional under contact deformation. Thirdly, a Willmore Legendrian surface is a surface that is both Willmore and Legendrian. On these surfaces, there are three results in this paper: (i) The author proves that a Willmore Legendrian surface in a \(5\)-dimensional Sasakian manifold must be a contact stationary Legendrian surface. From this, it can be proved that any Willmore Legendrian \(2\)-sphere in the standard \(5\)-sphere is an equatorial \(2\)-sphere. (ii) The author uses Simons-type inequalities to prove a gap theorem for a Willmore Legendrian surface in the standard 5-sphere when the squared length of the second fundamental form lies in the interval \([0,2]\). This generalizes an analoguous gap theorem obtained in [\textit{S. Yamaguchi} et al., Proc. Am. Math. Soc. 54, 276--280 (1976; Zbl 0283.53044)] for minimal Legendrian surfaces in the 5-sphere. (iii) The author introduces the Legendrian Willmore flow (LeW flow) to study the existence of csL Willmore surfaces. This flow preserves the Legendrian condition and also decreases the Willmore energy. It was shown that the LeW flow is a negative gradient flow of the Willmore functional with respect to a special \(L^2\) metric. Moreover, the author proves that the LeW flow is well posed if the ambient manifold is a 5-dimensional Sasakian Einstein manifold.
