Let \(G\) be a finite group. In \textit{L. Gong} and \textit{I. M. Isaacs} [Arch. Math. 108, No. 1, 1--7 (2017; Zbl 1386.20011)], it is proved that if \(M\) is a subgroup of \(G\) normalizing the nilpotent residual \(H^{\mathfrak{N}}\) of every non-subnormal subgroup \(H\) of \(G\) then \(M\) normalizes the nilpotent residuals \(S^{\mathfrak{N}}\) of subnormal subgroups \(S\). The analogous statement holds for the solvable residuals. Let \(\mathfrak {F}\) be a subgroup-closed saturated formation of finite groups containing \(\mathfrak {N}\) and let \(M\) be a subgroup of \(G\) normalizing \(H^{\mathfrak {F}}\) for every non-subnormal subgroup \(H\) of \(G\). Then \(M\) normalizes \(S^{\mathfrak {F}}\) for every subnormal subgroup \(S\) of \(G\). This way the authors extend the above-cited result for the supersoluble residual as seen by replacing \(\mathfrak {F}\) with \(\mathfrak {U}\).
