The general field of interest of this article is the study of topological and geometrical properties of polynomial functions with good behaviour at infinity, more precisely with the property of \(\infty\)-transversality as introduced by L. Maxim. In this setting they study Alexander invariants and obtain several results which reveal a behaviour of these functions that is in a certain way similar to homogeneous polynomials; the main result states detailed properties of the Alexander modules including the existence of a canonical mixed Hodge structure.
