On the ellipticity of coupled finite element and one-equation boundary element methods for boundary value problems (Q2510405)

The authors extend the previous results from [ZAMM, Z. Angew. Math. Mech. 93, No. 6--7, 476--484 (2013; Zbl 1281.65150)] to the Johnson-Nedéléc coupling of finite and boundary elements in the case of boundary value problems, applied to an interior Dirichlet boundary value problem of a diffusion equation with variable coefficients. The theoretical results, as well as the computation of the constants involved in the problem are confirmed on the particular example of a circular inclusion in a circular domain.
