The authors consider the following setting: \(X\)~is a compact symplectic manifold, \(L\)~is a Hermitian line bundle over~\(X\) with a connection whose curvature is compatible with the symplectic form, \(E\)~is a Hermitian vector bundle on~\(X\), and \(G\)~is a compact, connected Lie group acting on \(X\), \(L\), and~\(E\) while preserving the connections and the metrics. The spin\(^c\) Dirac operator \(D_p\) acts on the \((0,q)\)-forms on~\(X\) taking values in \(L^p\otimes E\), and the orthogonal projection from the space of such forms onto the \(G\)-invariant part of \(\ker D_p\) is the Bergman projection under consideration. The authors announce estimates and expansions for the corresponding \(G\)-invariant Bergman kernel function that are asymptotic as the power \(p\to\infty\). Proofs will appear elsewhere. The article can be seen as a sequel to a paper of the first author with \textit{X.~Dai} and \textit{K.~Liu} [C. R. Math. Acad. Sci., Paris 339, No. 3, 193--198 (2004; Zbl 1057.58018)], which considered the case when the group~\(G\) is trivial.
