Let \((M,g,J)\) be a Kähler manifold with scalar curvature \(\mathrm{Scal}(g)\), i.e., the trace of the Ricci curvature tensor, and \(\nabla_g\) the gradient operator w.r.t. the metric \(g\). We say that \(g\) is an extremal Kähler metric if \(K=J\nabla_g\mathrm{Scal}(g)\) is a Killing vector field for \(g\), i.e. \(\mathcal{L}_{K}(g)=0\). Let \(f\) be a function on \(M\) and \(\nu\) be a real number. The \((f,\nu)\)-\(scalar\ curvature\) of \(g\) is defined as \(\mathrm{Scal}_{f,\nu}(g)=f^2\mathrm{Scal}(g)-2(\nu-1)f\Delta_gf-\nu(\nu-1)|df|^2_g\) where \(\Delta_g\) (resp. \(|\cdot|_g\)) stands for the Laplacian operator on \(M\) (resp. the norm w.r.t \(g\)). We say that \(g\) is \((f,\nu)\)-\(extremal\) if \(\mathrm{Scal}_{f,\nu}(g)\) is a Hamiltonian for a Killing vector field of \(g\). Let \((N,D)\) be a contact \((2m+1)\)-manifold and \({\mathfrak{con}}(N,D)\) \(\big(\)resp. \({\mathfrak{con}}_+(N,D)\big)\) its contact Lie algebra of sections (resp. positive sections) of \(TN/D\) under the Jacobi bracket \([\xi,\mathcal{X}]=\eta_{\mathcal{D}}([X_\xi,X_{\mathcal{X}}])=\mathcal{L}_{X_\xi}\mathcal{X} =-\mathcal{L}_{X_\mathcal{X}}\xi\) such that \(\eta_{\mathcal{D}}\) is a map from the set of contact vector fields \(\big(\)the set of vector fields \(X\) such that \(\mathcal{L}_X(C_N^\infty(D))\subset C_N^\infty(D)\big)\) to the set of sections of the quotient space \(TN/D\) and the inverse of \(\eta_{D}\) is defined as \(\xi\to X_\xi\), a first-order differential operator. Let \({\mathfrak{cr}}(N,D,J)\) be the kernel of the linear differential operator \(\xi\to\mathcal{L}_{X_\xi}J\) which is defined on \({\mathfrak{con}}(N,D)\). The Sasaki cone is defined by \({\mathfrak{cr}}_+(N,D,J)={\mathfrak{cr}}(N,D,J)\cap{\mathfrak{con}}_+(N,D)\). The main result is stated as follows: Let \((N,D,J)\) be a \(CR\ (2m+1)\)-manifold endowed with the Sasaki cone \({\mathfrak{cr}}_+(N,D,J)\). Then for \((\mathcal{X},\xi)\in [{\mathfrak{cr}}_+(N,D,J)]^2\) satisfying \([\mathcal{X},\xi]=0\), the authors state that \((N,D,J,\mathcal{X})\) (the Sasaki manifold) is \((\xi,m+2)\)-extremal (Definition 3) if and only if \((N,D,J,\xi)\) is extremal (Theorem 1).
