Let \(\mathbb{S}\) be the unit circle in \(\mathbb{R}^{2}\), \(g\in L^{1}(\mathbb{S})\), \(g(\theta +T)=g(\theta )\) for some \(T\leq 2\pi .\) Let \(\lambda \) be a positive real parameter, and \(p,\) \(q\) given exponents satisfying \(0<p<1,\) \(q>2\). In the standard Sobolev space \(H^{1}( \mathbb{S})\) the authors consider the following problem \[ -u^{^{\prime \prime }}+u=\frac{g(\theta )}{u^{1-p}}+\lambda u^{q-1}\text{, }u>0\text{ in }\mathbb{S}. \] Using variational methods pertaining to the analysis of the energy functional on the type of Nehari manifold they prove that the above equation has two positive \(T-\)periodic solutions provided that \(\lambda \) is smaller than an explicit constant.
