For integers \(n,m\) and a positive real number \(\mu\), the Fock-Bargmann-Hartogs domain \(D_{n,m}(\mu)\) is the Hartogs domain over \(\mathbb C^n\) defined by \[ D_{n,m}(\mu):=\big\{(z,w)\in\mathbb C^n\times\mathbb C^m:\|w\|<e^{-\mu\|z\|^2}\big\}, \] where \(\|\cdot\|\) is the standard Hermitian norm. Let \(\nu>-1\), define the strictly psh function \[ \Phi(z,w):=\nu\mu\|z\|^2-\ln(e^{-\mu\|z\|^2}-\|w\|^2),\quad (z,w)\in D_{n,m}(\mu), \] and the Kähler form on \(D_{n,m}(\mu)\) \[ \omega(\mu;\nu):=\frac{\sqrt{-1}}{2\pi}\partial\bar\partial\Phi. \] The Kähler metric \(g(\mu;\nu)\) on \(D_{n,m}(\mu)\) associated with \(\omega(\mu;\nu)\) may be expressed by \[ g(\mu;\nu)_{i\bar j}=\frac{\partial^2\Phi}{\partial Z_i\partial\bar Z_j},\quad 1\leq i,j\leq n+m, \] where \((Z_1,\dots,Z_{n+m})=(z,w)\). The main result of the paper under review is the following. Let the Fock-Bargmann-Hartogs domain \(D_{n,m}(\mu)\) be endowed with the Kähler metric \(g(\mu;\nu)\). Then the metric \(\alpha g(\mu;\nu)\) on \(D_{n,m}(\mu)\) is balanced (i.e., its Rawnsley \(\varepsilon\)-function is a positive constant) if and only if \(\alpha>m+n\), \(n=1\), and \(\nu=-1/(m+1)\).
