This paper deals with the problem of constructing pairs of dual frame wavelets for a given bandlimited function \(\psi \left( x \right){\kern 1pt} \in {\kern 1pt} L^2 \left( {\mathbb{R}^n } \right)\). In one dimension, for \(\psi \left( x \right){\kern 1pt} \in {\kern 1pt} L^2 \left( R \right)\) this question has been already considered by \textit{Z. Shang} and \textit{X. Zhou} [Appl. Comput. Harmon. Anal. 22, No. 3, 356--367 (2007; Zbl 1120.42020)] and by the author in [Adv. Comput. Math. 30, No. 3, 231--247 (2009; Zbl 1166.42020)]. In higher dimensions, the main problem consists in the construction of generators with compact support in the Fourier domain and expected time localization. Moreover, in higher dimensional space the author considers and solves, with a simple algorithm, the non-trivial definition of a suitable translation lattice by non-overlapping packings of ellipsoids. The construction of dual frame wavelets is based on the following steps: 1) Define the dilation operator by a real expansive dilation matrix, and the translation operator. 2) Choose a bandlimited function \(\psi \left( x \right){\kern 1pt} \in {\kern 1pt} L^2 \left(\mathbb{R}{^n } \right)\). 3) Construct a pair of functions that generate dual wavelet frames for some translation lattice. In order to fulfill these steps some conditions on \(\psi \left( x \right)\), on its Fourier transform and on the lattice are given. These conditions enable to construct these dual frames, moreover, in order to remove some arbitrariness on the choice of the translation lattice, the author gives some more conditions on the construction of the ellipsoids by the partition of unity. Some concrete examples on general functions explain in more detail this interesting and simple procedure.
