This paper concerns a semilinear elliptic equation \[ -\Delta u+(1+\delta V)u=f(u) \] in \(\mathbb R^N\), where \(V\) is a continuous potential and \(f(u)\) is a nonlinearity satisfying some decay condition and some non-degeneracy condition, and \(\delta\) is a constant. The authors show that for all small \(\delta>0\) the above equation has infinitely many positive solutions. The existence of infinitely many positive bound states for semilinear elliptic systems is also proved.
