The Gabor wave-front set is defined through the decay properties of the short-time Fourier transform (STFT), see [\textit{L.~Rodino} and \textit{P.~Wahlberg}, Monatsh. Math. 173, No.~4, 625--655 (2014; Zbl 1366.42030)]. In fact, it is equivalent to Hörmander's global wave-front set, as demonstrated in [\textit{R.~Schulz} and \textit{P.~Wahlberg}, Commun. Partial Differ. Equations 42, No.~5, 703--730 (2017; Zbl 1373.35345)]. In the context of Gelfand-Shilov spaces it is used in e.g. [\textit{C.~Boiti} et al., Monatsh. Math. 188, No.~2, 199--246 (2019; Zbl 1407.35003); \textit{M.~Cappiello} and \textit{R.~Schulz}, Complex Var. Elliptic Equ. 61, No.~4, 538--561 (2016; Zbl 1339.35014); \textit{E.~Carypis} and \textit{P.~Wahlberg}, J. Fourier Anal. Appl. 23, No.~3, 530--571 (2017; Zbl 1377.35228)]. If \( \Sigma _t ^s (\mathbb{R}^d) \) denotes a Gelfand-Shilov type space, and \(s\neq t\), then the cones \(\Gamma \subset T^* \mathbb{R}^d \setminus 0\) are no longer appropriate to micro-localize the decay of the STFT. To treat this anisotropic case, instead of the straight lines through \( (x_0, \xi_0) \in T^* \mathbb{R}^d \setminus 0\), the authors consider the curves \[ \{ x = (\lambda^t x_0, \lambda^s \xi_0): \lambda > 0\}, \] and related anisotropic cones though a neighborhood \(U \subset T^* \mathbb{R}^d \setminus 0\) of \((x_0, \xi_0)\). Then, \( (x_0, \xi_0) \not\in WF^{t,s} (u) \) iff \[ \sup_{\lambda > 0, (x,\xi) \in U} e^{r\lambda}| V_\phi u (\lambda^t x, \lambda^s \xi)| < \infty, \qquad \forall r>0. \] Here \( V_\phi \) is the STFT with respect to the window \(\phi\). The paper offers a detailed study of such wave-front sets, with various comparisons to the known situations and relevant examples which illuminate the authors' ideas. For example, a whole section is devoted to the chirp signals. In addition, the anisotropic wave-front sets of finite linear combinations of derivatives of the Dirac delta, and also appropriate infinite sums, are computed. This paper is complemented by the contributions [\textit{L.~Rodino} and \textit{P.~Wahlberg}, Monatsh. Math. 202, No.~2, 397--434 (2023; Zbl 07738491); \textit{P.~Wahlberg}, J. Pseudo-Differ. Oper. Appl. 14, No.~1, Paper No.~7, 38~p. (2023; Zbl 1522.46031)] where one can also find a discussion of propagation of anisotropic wave-front sets for certain evolution equations.
