The authors study an anisotropic version of Shubin's differential operators given by symbols satisfying \[ |\partial_x^\alpha \partial_\xi^\beta a(x,\xi)| \lesssim (1+|x| + |\xi|^{1/s})^{m-|\alpha|-s|\beta|}, \quad (x,\xi) \in T^*\mathbf{R}^d,\quad \alpha,\beta \in \mathbf{N}^d \] for \(s>0\) and \(m \in \mathbf{R}\). The basic calculus for these symbols is established and the corresponding notion of anisotropic Gabor wave front set \(\mathrm{WF}^s_g(u)\) of a tempered distribution \(u\) is introduced. Main results are the microlocal inclusion \[ \mathrm{WF}^s_g(a^w(x,D)u) \subseteq \mathrm{WF}^s_g(u), \] where \(a^w(x,D)\) denotes the Weyl quantization, and the microelliptic inclusion \[ \mathrm{WF}^s_g(u) \subseteq \mathrm{WF}^s_g(a^w(x,D)u) \cup \mathrm{char}_{s,m_1}(a) \] where \(a\) has order \(m \ge m_1\) and \(\mathrm{char}_{s,m_1}(a)\) is a suitable notion of microlocal characteristic set.
