The authors study and obtain \(C^\alpha\) regularity of solutions of ultraparabolic equations and generalize the well-known De Giorgi-Nash-Moser theory to degenerate parabolic equations satisfying the Hörmander hypoellipticity condition. They consider a suitable non-homogeneous Kolmogorov-Fokker-Planck-type operator on \(\mathbb{R}^{N +1}\). Wang and Zhang, by the left invariant translation group action, obtain that the solution \(u\) is \(C^\alpha\) in the interior of a domain \(\Omega \subset \mathbb{R}^{N +1}\). The main idea is to establish a type of weak Poincaré-type inequality for non-negative weak sub-solutions, in order to extend the main results to operators with lower-order terms. Then, by using Kruzhkov's method of level sets, they can obtain local a priori estimates which imply the Hölder estimates for the ultraparabolic equation.
