Let \(R^{n}_{>0}\) and \(R^{n}_{\geq 0}\) denote the set of vectors in \(R^{n}\) with strictly positive entries and th set of nonnegative entries, respectively. Let \(f: R^{n}_{>0}\to R^{n}_{>0}\) be be an order preserving and positively homogeneous function. Let \(E(f)\) denotes the set of all eigenvectors of \(f\) in \(R^{n}_{>0}\). Let \(d_{H}(., .)\) denotes the Hilbert's projection metric on \(R^{n}_{>0}\). The main objective of the author is to establish necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of eigenvector of \(f\). In Sections 1 and 2 of the paper, the author gave general introduction and background material. Section 3 of the paper discussed the existence of eigenvectors of \(f\). One of the results concerning existence of eigenvectors is Theorem 3.1. In Theorem 3.1, It is proved that \(E(f)\) is nonempty and bounded if and only if for all nonempty proper subset \(J\) of \([n]\), \[r(f_{0}^{J}) \leq \lambda (f_{\infty}^{[n]\setminus J]}),\] where \(r\) is is the upper Collatz-Wielandt number and \(\lambda\) is the lower-Collatz-Wielandt number. In addition, Theorem 3.11 provides sufficient condition for \(E(f)\) to be nonempty and bounded with respect to Hilbert's projective metric. It is shown that \(f\) has a unique eigenvector up to scaling provided that \(E(f)\) is nonempty and bounded. In the last part of the paper, convergence of iterates to a unique eigenvector is constructed. The author concluded the paper with some applicable examples.
